This article will provide instructions on how to transfer all domain name types to webfusion.
Different Types of Domain Names
Of the domain names that webfusion support there are three different types:
- Nominet (.uk)
- .co.uk - .org.uk - .me.uk
- Top Level Domains (TLD’s)
- .com - .net - .org - .biz - .info - .mobi - .name - .eu - .tv - .cc - .me - .cn - .at - .be - .es
- CentralNic
- ae.org - .cn.com - .de.com - .eu.com - .gb.com - .gb.net - .kr.com - .qc.com - .sa.com - .us.com - .se.net - .se.com - .uy.com - .br.com - .no.com - .hu.com - .ru.com - .jpn.com - .uk.net - .uk.com - .za.com
Before attempting a transfer, please ensure that you use the correct procedure for your domain name extension as explained below.
Transferring a .uk domain to webfusion
Firstly, you need to contact your current provider and ask them to change the IPS tag to webfusion. Some providers will do this through a control panel, but others will need a fax, email or letter to carry out the change.

Go to http://www.webfusion.com and type your domain name into the box below "Get started" and click on the "Search" button.

Select your domain name from the list, then click on the "Add to basket" button.

Click on the "Next step" button.

Confirm that you are the owner and allowed to transfer the domain name then click on the "Next Step" button.

Check the details, and add any hosting package requirements, then click on the "Next step" button.

If you are already a customer enter your webfusion username and password in the relevant boxes and click on the "Sign in" button; if not fill in your details and click on the "Sign up" button.

Check your order details, enter your payment information and click on the "Pay now" button.

Follow the on-screen instructions.
Tip: After the IPS tag has been changed and you've initiated the transfer to webfusion, the domain will automatically transfer to your webfusion account.
To check the progress of your domain transfers please:

Log in to your webfusion control panel at cp.webfusion.com.

Click on the "My domains" button.

Click on the "Tranfers" link on the right hand side of the page.
Here you can see all your Domain transfers and their status.
Transferring a TLD domain to webfusion
Please note: that there is no facility to transfer .me - .cn - .at - .be and .es domain names to webfusion at this time.
In order for a domain to be transferred into your webfusion account, the domain has to first be transferred to our registrar, Tucows.
For the transfer to take place, we will need the most up-to-date email address for the domain’s admin contact (ADMIN-C). If you don't have access to the email address listed in ADMIN-C, then you will need to change it before the transfer can proceed. Most providers will allow you to do this online, though some will need you to email or fax them.
To check the domain’s current registrar and admin contact email address you can visit http://www.allwhois.com .
Before you initiate the transfer, please make sure the domain is "unlocked" or "active" by visiting http://www.allwhois.com . If your domain is locked, please contact the current domain registrar to make the necessary changes.
Please note: Top Level Domains names that are newer that 60 days or within 7 of entering redemption can not be transferred in or out of webfusion.
The transfer process

If you are already a customer enter your Webfusion username and password in the relevant boxes and click on the "Sign in" button; if not fill in your details and click on the "Sign up" button.

Check your order details, enter your payment information and click on the "Pay now" button.

What Happens Next?
When the transfer has started, the current admin contact will receive an email from Tucows containing a URL, a domain name and password. They can use these details to either cancel the transfer or confirm it. Tucows will ask for a contact phone number in case there are any problems.
To check the progress of your domain transfers please:

Click on the "My domains" button.

Click on the "Tranfers" link on the right hand side of the page.
Here you can see all your Domain transfers and their status.
After the transfer is accepted, it will take 24 hours to complete if the domain is with another Tucows reseller, or up to seven days if the domain is with a different registrar.
Once this email has been replied to in the time scale specified by that registrar, the domain will be transferred to webfusion, and you will be able to manage your domain in your webfusion control panel.
Transferring a .eu domain to webfusion
In order for a .eu domain name to be transferred into your webfusion account, the domain has to first be transferred to our registrar, Tucows.
For the transfer to take place, we will need the most up-to-date email address for the domain’s registrant contact. If you don't have access to the email address listed, then you will need to change it before the transfer can proceed. Most providers will allow you to do this online, though some will need you to email or fax them.
To check the domain’s current registrar and admin contact email address, you can visit http://www1.whois.eu/whois/GetDomainStatus.htm.
Please note: Any domain due for renewal, in the quarantine or pending delete will not transfer and will be declined by the registrar. The registrar will also not accept a transfer in the first 60 days after registration or within the 7 days before the domain name expires.
You will then need to:

Transferring a CentralNic domain to webfusion
Firstly, you need to contact your current provider and ask them to change the domain name's billing handle to i6467
