How do I change the nameservers for my domain?

To change the name servers of your domain name, please do the following:

Log into your Webfusion control panel at cp.webfusion.com.

Click on the My domains button.

Choose the Name servers option from the drop down box.

Please note: If the domain name has one of the following extensions:

  • .com
  • .net
  • .org
  • .info
  • .biz
  • .name
  • .me
  • .tv
  • .cc
  • .us

You will need to ensure that the domain name is unlocked before attempting to change the nameservers. This can be done by selecting the Lock/unlock domain option. This support article should assist you How do I lock / unlock my domain name?

Choose the domain name you wish to edit from the drop down box.

Enter the desired name servers in the text fields available.

Tip: If you wish to enter more than two name server records for the domain name, please click on the Add another name server link.

Click on the Save changes button. You will see a confirmation once this has been accepted.

It might take 48 hours for these changes to take effect. Your website and email may be disrupted during that period.
