How can I move domain names between webfusion accounts?

This article will explain how to transfer a domain name to another webfusion account.

Please note: Only domain names can be transfered between webfusion accounts. Additional services such as hosting and email are non-transferable.

To transfer your domain name to another webfusion account please follow the instructions below:

From the account currently holding the domain name:

Log into your webfusion control panel at cp.webfusion.com.

Click on the My domains button.

Select Account-to-account transfers from the drop down list.

Click on the Start transfer link.

Enter the email address of the account you wish to transfer the domain name to in the box provided.

Select the domain name you wish to transfer by ticking the appropriate box.

Click on the Start transfer button.



An email will then be sent to the email address of the gaining user with instructions on how to accept or decline the transfer.

Please note: The gaining user has 7 days in which to accept the transfer request, otherwise the transfer request will expire and the transfer will need to be initiated again.

To accept or decline the transfer, the gaining user would need to do the following:

Log into their webfusion control panel at cp.webfusion.com.

Click on the My domains button.

Select Account-to-account transfers from the drop down list.

Select the domain name transfer they wish to accept/decline by ticking the appropriate box.

Click on the Accept selected button to authorise the transfer, or the Deny selected button to decline the transfer.

If the transfer is accepted, the domain name will now appear in the control panel of the gaining account.
